It’s time for a new Parish Plan

It has been 15 years since the last Warlingham Parish Plan was adopted. The Plan was
expected to cover a period until 2013 and so, as it is well out of date, we thought it’s time to
prepare a new one!

In the course of producing the last Parish Plan, there were a lot of issues and ideas that
have since been acted on. The biggest project to emerge is the Green Improvement Project,
with Phase One now well underway.

And just like the last Parish Plan, a new Plan would involve a lot of input for local residents
as we canvass views, consult, collate and decide what the priorities will be, for the
community, for the coming years.

To kick-start the process and to see how much commitment there is to make a Plan, we
intend to hold some consultation meetings in the village which will be your opportunity, as
local residents, to have a say on how Warlingham can be shaped in the future.
The theme, we think, should be around the question “What would make Warlingham a better
place for me?”.

For the moment we will consider, in more detail, how we might prepare, undertake and
deliver this community-led Plan. So, we will not be starting anything until the New Year 2024.
In the meantime, we will be looking for local residents who wish to participate and help us
shape the Plan. So, if you are interested in being directly involved, please contact the Clerk
and also keep an eye on the Warlingham Parish Council website and our Facebook Page for
further updates.

You can contact the Clerk and Council members via our website http://www.warlingham-pc.gov.uk
and it’s here where you will also find a full copy of the 2008 – 2013 Parish Plan which can be found at https://warlingham-pc.gov.uk/documents/1216// Reference copies are available at the Warlingham Community Library,
Shelton Avenue, too.
