The parish council have approved a plan designed to help conserve the war memorial on Warlingham Green. The 
plan involves regular inspections and simple maintenance, thus enabling identification of any problems with the memorial that may require further action by skilled and qualified professionals.
The war memorial is an important historical monument in the village and it is therefore vital that the condition of it is safeguarded for the benefit of future generations.
The parish council is mindful that no maintenance should be completed that may risk the condition of the memorial or the individual.
