The land opposite and around Amano’s café is common land owned by the Parish Council. Towards the end of May, we will be cutting down several large trees on both sides of Limpsfield Road. This means that there will be temporary traffic lights on that section for at least two days while work is completed.

The Parish Council routinely commissions a survey of the trees on the common land from an independent qualified surveyor. The latest survey found that a number of larger trees have Ash Dieback disease. Their removal therefore has to take place as a matter of safety to pedestrians, horse riders and road users. We hope that other species will be able to take advantage of the extra space and begin to thrive.

As soon as we have confirmed dates for this work, these will be announced on the Parish Council’s website.
