The Warlingham, Chelsham & Farleigh Relief in Need charity is a small trust that makes grants to bodies serving those in need in the parishes of Warlingham, Chelsham and Farleigh, using historic investments and funding provided by another charity with linked objectives. Much of the grant money goes to local schools to assist children from less well-off families, and this reflects the educational aims of one of the historic endowments.
The Trust is administered by a Clerk who arranges meetings, takes minutes and deals with correspondence, and has a Treasurer who makes the payments and produces simple annual accounts. There is usually one meeting a year.
Both the current Clerk and Treasurer wish to stand down due to advancing years and therefore the Trust is looking for replacements with suitable skills, preferably either residents of or with knowledge of the parishes. If you are interested please contact the Chair, the Reverend Michelle Edmonds on 01883 623011 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
