The latest result of Warlingham Parish Council’s collaboration with Surrey County Council (SCC) Highways has resulted in the restoration and improvement of a seriously damaged road corner in Verdayne Gardens.
SCC has been working its way through a list compiled by the Parish Council, with a proposal that the cost of each repair would be shared between both parties. However, the situation in Verdayne Gardens was so bad that SCC decided to fund the entire work.
Other corners identified as priorities are in Lime Grove and Hamsey Green Gardens again with the offer of part-funding from the Parish Council. Subject to final design and costings, we hope to see these additional corners added to SCC’s schedule of planned works soon.
