Biggin Hill – Airport Residents Noise Action Forum (ARNAF)

The Airport’s Residents Noise Action Forum, which was launched in 2023, plays an important role in giving local people and their representatives a voice. Over 15 residents’ groups, associations and their representatives were asked to engage with the Airport to discuss concerns and explore how noise impact can be kept to a minimum.

Many, including members of Warlingham Parish Council, are now actively engaged and gaining a better understanding of some of the technical issues. There are often briefings from pilots regarding how procedures are flown and under what limitations.

The ARNAF members are able to create their own agenda, ensuring topics most important to local communities are considered and this maintains a keenness to deliver tangible results. The next formal review of the Noise Action Plan is due to take place in 2026.
